They always penetrated tracks and spaced armor, it's the penetration dropoff after the first penetration that result in your shot not penning the actual hull armor. If you have enough pen though, like the HEAT on the T for example you can most of the time pen tracks and space armor, and still do damage to the enemy. Tanks like the T69 however which has pen, will more often then not "sizzle" on tracks or spaced armor.
The innovation described in this proposal is a concept for an instrumented penetrator that can be impacted deep into the surface of Europa and record and transmit data to an orbiter. The data would allow a much better understanding of the chemical composition of Europa, conditions in the ice and the water layer below, whether those conditions can support life, and possibly even confirm the existence of life. A penetrator would be a much less costly option than a lander.
To provide participants with the necessary background to understand and apply the principles of penetration mechanics to impact problems. Engineers, scientists, and technical managers who are involved in analysis, evaluation, design, research, and development of systems to stop, contain, or enhance the penetration of fragments and penetrators. While there is no formal prerequisite, the course is directed toward personnel with degrees in engineering, the physical sciences, mathematics, or equivalent experience.

The primary goal in tank combat is to disable or eliminate your enemies, and this is done by inflicting as much damage as possible. However, you first need to consider how much your shot will penetrate an enemy tank's armor. Simply put, if you don't penetrate the armor, you don't do damage.
Jump to content. I penetrated a e25 with my mm derp from close range If HE penetrations had the ability to kill the entire crew from the first shot, artillery would've been removed from the game long before they'd get the chance to rebalance it. Wait I woulda preferred that!
To the problem: I've been playing WT since the closed beta of Ground forces. It's always been a lot of fun and the matches I've played have been a lot of fun. However, in the last few patches more and more new features have been added, which just leave me speechless as an old rabbit.
Ballistic Materials and Penetration Mechanics deals with ballistically protective materials and penetration mechanics. The book discusses historical and practical considerations of ballistic protection, including metallic armor, as well as ballistic testing methodology, the ability of a protective material to stop or slow down a particular projectile, and the theoretical aspects of penetration mechanics. It also highlights the importance of stress wave analysis in the penetration and spalling phenomena. Organized into 12 chapters, this volume begins with an overview of the history of the armor and the modern helmet.
