While I was searching for vintage Thanksgiving images, I came across quite a few postcards where the images included dead turkeys. I mean dead, feathers being plucked, bodies hung upside down turkey images. While I know this was a common sight back in the day, why on Earth would you send someone a Thanksgiving greeting with the picture of a dead bird on it??
